no subject
anyway people make their royalties through different ways depending on what they produce. most bands make most of their income through tours, not record sales. manga & international biz i'm not so sure, but i'm assuming that the artists get paid by the licensing company, in which case getting licensed would be the goal as opposed to selling a lot of copies, right? either way, word of mouth has weight.
i apologize for the length of this as i am drunk. anyway the point i was trying to make is that the mentality itself isn't really hurtful. piracy, though illegal, helps shit to circulate and gets people interested, so even if it's being pirated by some people the popularity of it can still generate income.
