Hmm, I'd have to say I disagree with you here. Not that I think he'd be amazing at it or anything, but I don't think he'd be a shit father. I think we don't know enough about that portion of his character to make that call.

He's always been almost manical about what's important to him, and I can't see a child not being high on that list. He'd make a bunch of mistakes, sure, but what parent doesn't?

I think he'd try his best for his child. I don't know if that would be enough, but it's a start.

+1 this. I feel like Tony having daddy!issues would motivate him to try and do better. Whether or not he would pull it off is up for debate.

You said pretty much everything I wanted to but couldn't figure out how to word it without sounding like I was taking a break from writing my Steve/Tony mpreg epic or something.

And I can say loving your child and actually wanting them is one of the best things you can do as a parent for your child and it's sad how many people don't get even that.
