I love Chel! If I was forced to choose I would pick her as my favorite part of the whole movie. But I don't see her with either/both of them.

Chel is amazing~ To me it just seemed forced with how her relationship with Tulio went. I'll admit, it could be because [iirc] I'd already heard something about the exec basically making them change the story to make the gay less obvious. So, I was already inclined to side-eye it...but either way I just usually chalk the stuff up with the relationship as 'I'm bored and I *really* want to be sure they take me with them'.

I think I was nine when that movie came out and for weeks afterwards I would pretend I was Chel and I had ditched Tulio and Miguel and was off having awesome adventures by myself. My friend either had to be Altvio or the shy, hot boy I kept eloping with from taverns and temples.

I actually cut my bangs because of her. It wasn't half as cute on me though. Then my little sister tried the same thing but didn't get the concept and hacked it off at the root. My mom was so angry at both of us for months!
