I don't mean this in a bad way at all; I'm just really curious. What did you see in Loki that you didn't before? I just find it strange that you'd suddenly love a character that you barely noticed the first time. It'd be one thing if you rewatched the movie several years later and saw something in him that you were unable to appreciate when younger, but in this case it couldn't have been that long. Again, no offense meant -- I'm genuinely interested!

I wonder about this myself. I'm know it's possible they genuinely ignored Loki in their first viewing for Laufey and/or other characters and once they paid more attention to him they discovered they liked him. But...maybe they brought what they learned from fanon into the showing and that (more than who Loki actually is on-screen, or Hiddles' performance) changed their mind?

That's fine too though.

Yeah, that makes sense.

BTW, that's a handsome Hawke you got there!

Awww, thanks! I have a soft spot for my BioWare characters. (As people tend to.)

That's a really good question that I've actually been asking myself. But I can't seem to figure out what changed after I rewatched it. I'm usually all over the villain in every movie/anime/book etc. (I'm still trying to figure out what the cause of THAT is) but Loki did nothing for me at first. I paid him as much attention as I would any random side-character even though he is quite important.

I vaguely suspect that Tom Hiddleston may have something to do with it because I watched a few interviews etc. to understand where the sudden Loki/Hiddleston obsession here came from. And of course he is incredibly charming, but I really can't pinpoint what made me suddenly like Loki as a character.

I obviously fail at self-analysis.

Eh, that's okay too. It happens sometimes. And I wouldn't be surprised if the Hiddleston interviews had something to do with it; in the past actors or actresses have swayed my opinion on a character too.
