I keep skipping it on Sundays and then watching it some random day of the week when I remember it - only to find it still isn't that interesting... it seems like there are interesting sounding plot lines that could be followed but nothing is really happening...

MEEEE! *waves hand* Last Sunday's episode was pretty intense, I recommend you watch it. I don't want to spoil so I won't say much more than lots of interesting things happening with the skitters.

I'm all caught up. There's potential yes but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere fast. But then I've always been more a fan of episodic television rather than long story arcs where you have to wait a long time for the whole story to be done.

Ahh I see. I'm the complete opposite. I've never been a huge fan of episodic TV shows and love long story arcs. X3

Love this show so much. The writers are actually writing people who *think* and *reason*, instead of go running off half-cocked and stupid. Yes, *some people* still do that, but mostly it's kids. I love how Weaver and Tom can hash stuff out without big dick-waving scenes or shouting, and even when Tom and the Doc had a fight, she was like 'this is stupid, we have more important stuff to worry about'.

Just....love it so much.
The last ep made me and my friend watching flail a lot. :)

Yeah I agree actually. I think any problems I have with are caused solely by the type of show it is - one long story arc rather than episodic television. Which means I'll probably be buying the DVDs and watching entire seasons in epic marathons at some point.

It *is* actually kind of hard to watch week-to-week, it's very frustrating. I re-watched all of season one as a refresher before season two started, and it was much more...i dunno...intense that way.

This is exactly why I love Falling Skies so much!! If a situation where most of society was wiped out by something much more powerful than humans, the human race would be DOOMED if they went in all half-cocked and stupid. They do a wonderful job showing just how much of a struggle the day-to-day living is for the characters. (Like getting gas in this most recent ep, all the fighting over what's important)

I love how Tom deals with his kids, how he and Weaver has grown so much in respect and trust, how Anne has grown as a doctor and omg, Anne and Tom are so freakin' cute. :)

And yes - cooking for 300 and making it taste good is hard. Finding enough room and blankets and clothes is hard. Sanitation for that many without electricity and water is *hard*.

And everybody isn't running around being stupid and having sex and getting drunk and generally putting themselves in stupid, stupid danger because it's the 'end of the world'.

Yes yes yes so much this! Not only is it more realistic, but I think the character development for everyone is damn awesome too. @___@

Oh yes, me too. There have been so many little moments and little things. Oh! And i love Lourdes having a boyfriend now, they're also so sweet together, just...yay!

I cannot believe that fandom is not writing All The Fic for this show, and crossing it with half a dozen other fandoms.

Oh God, Lourdes and her bf are the cutest things ever. Seriously, soooo cute! (Although tbh in the first season I thought she was annoying, but she's grown on me.)

I KNOW! Like seriously lots of decent het, as well as slash and femmeslash! But I can't find fandom for this series ANYWHERE!! *crai*

Oh yes, i'm always a bit 'allergic' to overtly religious characters, but she wasn't horrifyingly fanatic or preachy, she just believes and that's that, so yay.

I know! There's het, there's f/f, there's m/m, there's even the brothers if you wanna go there...what is wrong with fandom?!!

Same. Plus this season she's definitely toned down on the whole religious-ness this season. Which I think is good. xD

I'm going to try and find some good screencaps *or make some* and make some icons. I need a Tom Mason icon, at the very least, and an Anne one and a Maggie one...and Ben...and Hal, ack, and Dai on his motorcycle.....
