I always thought it'd be fun to have a mobile game where the pokemon would different depending on country/region. Like someone in the US Southwest would be different from someone living on the more forested East Coast who'd differ from Pacific Islanders who'd differ from Hokkaido and Kyushu so on.

And people would really have to trade between different regions of the world to catch them all.
