Submitting this secret really has helped me a lot, and I appreciate all of the positive re-enforcement that I've received from it. The only thing that I can do is wait until they're within reasonable driving distance again and just go to the show and see what happens. I'm terrified that he'll ignore me or something, but he's never seemed like that kind of guy to do that to someone.

I know some people thought you waited too long to text him and think he got upset with what he might have interpreted as your disinterest in him. Maybe that was the case...maybe not. Not all relationships are the same; some people talk every day, some once or so a week, some every few weeks, and yes, you can maintain a decent friendship by contacting each other every month or even every few months. Maybe you guys would've grown closer if he had responded and it became a thing, or maybe not. Maybe he wanted more from you, but if he never tried to reach out himself or explain that to you then this whole thing isn't just on you - it's on him too. These things don't always work out and you can't beat yourself up about them.
