Cinna is never described as black, though. All we get is that he has "close-cropped brown hair" and green eyes "flecked with gold." By that description, my Irish-Polish boyfriend could have played him.

Lenny Kravitz was great in the role and I can't think of anyone else I'd rather have seen in it, but yeah, just in the interest of accuracy - Cinna's race or skin color is never outright stated in the book.

Really? I mean, I remember both of those but I could have sworn there was a clear reference to him having dark skin as well. But I don't know where, so okay.
