Except it's not a kink if it's aimed at real people, then it's a fetish, which can be harmful. If the OP is attracted to a real life burn victim for who they (the burn victim) are as a person then that's great, but if they're only attracted *because* they're a burn victim then it's pretty disrespectful.

Also, your "if you like men so much, why don't you grow a penis" analogy is erroneous. Having a penis is a natural and normal thing for half of the population, having burns most certainly isn't. Someone had to suffer to have burns, by fetishising a real life burn victim you are fetishising their suffering.

There are plenty of people with problematic fetishes who learn how to deploy their attractions in socially acceptable ways. Anyone who has a fetish for burn victims might preferentially seek out people like that, but so long as they don't base the entire relationship on that and are willing to put in the work to see if they can fall in love with the person as a person... what is the harm?

Someone who has a fetish for CAUSING burns, well, wow... that would be completely different. Fetishizing burns isn't fetishizing suffering, if anything it's fetishizing bodily deformity.
