Violence is everywhere in the media and even in fandom and anime and manga, I don't see how those are any different. :I I find that sometimes the most overtly offensive people are the ones that are just trying too hard to make themselves comfortable with a situation by turning it humourous, even when it is the most unfunny of subjects.
