See, I mentioned it at first just because it was literally the only game I could think of where rape happens, but it has since been co-opted to make the point that this is all some misandrist hypocrisy, that people don't make such a stink about men getting raped - but really, it's because the two instances aren't comparable at all.

I never said f/m sexual abuse "doesn't happen", I said m/m is more common. Which, according to the data we have available, it is. And yet, we do have an example of f/m assault - F.E.A.R. 2. And not corresponding m/m example. Why is that?

I'd be more likely to believe that it has to do with the "sexual nature of rape" being less acceptable than the non-sexual nature of violence if they didn't feel just fine about tacking on sexual assault the moment a female protagonist walked through the door. Suddenly! Not so taboo!

Ngl, shooters, particular military shooters, are the games I play most often, and how many times has my character been bound and tortured, without even the slightest hint of sexual threat? Violence, ok, sex, not. Yet I'm supposed to believe that it's fine for Lara because that's just "realism"?
