But Lara's backstory already HAD a traumatic event in which she discovered what she was made of and learned to survive on her own and fend for herself. And it didn't involve rape. Remember, her plane crashed in the Himalayas and she had to survive on her own in the wilderness until she could make it back to civilisation? And after that she found she liked living that close to the edge, so she became a photo-journalist and adventurer. There was nothing wrong with the TR1 origin story. |:
