I do know some people who do ship hockey players and there's tons of fic out there. Just most of the people I normally speak to get squicked out by that stuff.

Plus I'm afraid to write a fic because I don't know anyone else who ships these two. There's so many plot possibilities though that I can't not write something.

Oh, don't let the lack of shippers deter you. Alfie and Z are former teammates, so the fic should flow wonderfully. Besides, rare pairs are prized in the hockey RPF fandom. People get tired of reading the same old pairings and enjoy getting something new!
