Not in the Animorphs fandom, but the only meme that's remotely funny is the Pitbull one. I mean, it's ANIMORPHS. Why the hell does Adele turn into a laptop in one of them?

Um, just because they're making fun of the covers doesn't mean they're making fun of the quality of the book. Most of the people I see reblogging these love Animorphs. Plus, I think they're supposed to be crappy quality. If you don't think it's funny then okay, but it's not an attack on the series.

That Kanye one will never make me not laugh tho.

I love Animorphs and I find those covers hilarious, especially the Pitbull and Kanye-becoming-Kanye ones.

I understand that they're not everyone's cup 'o tea, but it's not a bad thing to laugh at ones self/fandoms every now and then, imo.

I get teased by my eleven-year-old brother and I don't give a shit. These books were and still are parts of the way I understand the world. I still have fucking dreams about not being able to morph(ing).

You're a fan of a series that's inherently centered around the 90's and probably will never get a fanbase of new, young readers. If memes mean that there are people who still remember the books or new people who know two things about them, I'm happy.

Also, I find some of them kind of funny (like Kanye).

Eh, I didn't think they were all that funny either, to be honest, but that had more to do with the fact that I generally find memes like funny than anything else.

That said, yeah. You do seem a little over sensitive about this - I can't really say too much though since I've got some things that people roll their eyes at me being sensitive about too. Just do your best to ignore them and eventually they'll die down.

You should consider lightening up. It's poking way more fun at the people on the covers than Animorphs itself, and isn't it a good thing that people are bonding over something 10+ years later, even in jest?
