Who are the guys OP is pointing out? (Totally new to SM Ent, just got into EXO lol)

That would be Heechul and Siwon from Super Junior (I believe, but someone please correct me if I've got my facts wrong). I can't find a good cam of it, and that's tragical.

Personally, I preferred Heechul kissing Jungmo from the TRAX. Heechul just kissed lots of people during that song at various concerts. I think he was channeling Miyavi.


EDIT: Okay, this'll have to be good enough. A fancam but fairly clear, if you can excuse the screaming. Heechul is the singer, Siwon is the drummer, for anyone who doesn't know the group but is curious.

And then Heechul kissing Jungmo because I can~ I have a soft spot for the TRAX, I can't help it. The kiss is about 2:20.

I like the Heechul/Jungmo kiss best of Heechul's boy-kissing spree, because Jungmo, unlike everyone else, actually went with it. I really hope when Heechul gets back from the military, there are some more M&D projects, because those two have epic performance chemistry.

Well, the LA show is over Labor Day weekend, if that helps at all. No way could we make NYC on a THURSDAY (who plans a concert on a Thursday? Bastard) so we're going for LA. You could totally split a hotel with us, and have grand squee-y funtimes.

There've been two incidents of male idols actually (or almost) kissing each other. KABOOM. That'd be the sound of fandom exploding - cue "OMG, but ____, you're supposed to love ______/me!!!!!1111!!!!" and "OMG, he CAN'T be gay, that's gross!"

(There was also the incident with the transgender singer... it wasn't pleasant.)

It's called skinship. Basically, it's just males enjoying the same physical, non-sexual intimacy that females are allowed in much of Western society. It's played up among musicians for fanservice purposes.

Yup. Korean idols are heavily controlled, so all of that stuff is rehearsed. It's fun, and I ship a lot of them based off of their personas, but at the end of the day, personas and characters is all it is.

Very easy way to see it:

1)Western culture gives females much greater freedom in regards to physical affection than males. Thus, physically intimate male relations are typically seen by Westerners as symbolic of sexual intimacy or desire.

2) Musicians have noticed that female fans greatly enjoy fanservice in the form of physical intimacy and so some, especially more openminded bands or ones with profit-minded managements, make sure to include physical intimacy.

3) Westerners, especially those new to bandom, routinely refuse to acknowledge that this intimacy is fanservice and not indicative of sexual intimacy or desire.

idk, man. it's certainly possible, and chul would surprise me less than some, but I think he just appreciates good looks regardless of gender and likes him some kissin'. his on-stage kisses are always more of a troll-y control thing than gay love, seems to me. poor Henry and Sungmin, and Hee afterwards like "fuck yeah bitches, I just kissed your oppa and I was GOOD and u can't do jack shit about it, neener neener"

and Siwon doesn't dare complain because he is a cuddleslut, and if he says 'no kissing on the mouth' it might restrict him from other kisses later. XD
