I'm always amazed how many people question themselves because they're attracted to that one person/character out of their usual range. It's okay to be attracted to someone you'd normally not be attracted to, sexuality is not black and white, it happens to a lot of people.

Also can I say how much I hate the phrasing "go straight/gay for"? Bisexuality is a thing, people. And sexuality isn't a choice :/

I think the "going straight/gay for" thing is usually used by people who do not identify as bisexual, though. I've seen it more used by people who really very heavily (or even exclusively, up to then) lean to either men or women but then find there is someone who changes that perspective. However they might still choose to label themselves as gay or straight despite that one exception.

I don't think that's what s/he meant. It's not that they should identify as bi if they find one exception to their rule - it is that "go gay/straight for someone" implies that you're either one or the other. Since most people who say it don't mean they would actually stop being attracted to their usual gender because of that someone, they're actually going bisexual for that someone.

You know, the "you are my only exception" trope might be overused, but it does happen in real life (in both directions). I don't think it says anything about you or your sexuality specifically - just perhaps about the fact that human sexuality is often flexible (with some more than others) and there's nothing wrong with that.

First of all, let me tell you that you have excellent taste. Emiya is awesome.

I'm in a pretty similar situation to yours (straight woman attracted to some fictional female characters) and I consider myself 100% straight. Fictional characters and the way we see/interact with them are completely different from real people. In my opinion, I don't think you can judge your sexuality based on how you feel about fictional characters. So if you aren't attracted to real men, just think of Emiya as your "if it's you is okay".

The shape of the cartoon characters you schlick do is not dependent on your orientation. You can be still 100% gay and get off to images of men. Or do you really think that everyone's fantasies are based on what they want to do in real life?

I really loved him until he told EveryTimeIsRapeTime!Shinji that he can do whatever he wants to with Rin after he disappears in UBW. Yeah, fuck you Archer, Lancer was the only good man in the whole game (but being Lancer is suffering ;___;).

That was a horrible thing to do, yes, but the guy was really desperate and broken inside, I don't think he was acting rationally. He had suffer so much and then suddenly he has in front of him a little chance of ending his eternal hell of suffering. Everything was disposable to him, even someone he cares so much about as Rin.
