Uh yeah, I think anyone who has ever worked in customer service who hasn't had intrusive thoughts sometimes must have the patience of a saint.

There's a difference between thinking stuff like "I would totally punch you right now" and actually doing it and getting yourself fired or worse.

Heh, I was going to say that you were terrible because he would probably be killing them, but then I remembered some of the awful shit I've laughed at. Sometimes the sob/excuse stories you hear are so ludicrous and/or awful that you have to laugh to keep your sanity. Sometimes the people so frustratingly stupid or stubborn that you just have to laugh. So, yeah, I get you, OP.

Imagining how my favourite supervillains would deal with annoying customers is literally the only thing that keeps me from shouting at them sometimes. (It helps that my current favourite is an eloquent, sarcastic, and usually subtle motherfucker, and channeling him has allowed me to stealthily insult one or two truly deserving assholes without their noticing. Aww yiss.)

I sympathize with this secret a lot. I work in retail in various gift shops at a Six Flags theme park, and right after I started working there earlier this year, I had a dream that I was watching Loki do my job. Most of what I remember is him giving everyone that smile of his. He would be so beautifully troll-y in either custom service or retail. Someone needs to prompt this on the kink meme because I would definitely read that fic.
