There's a pretty big difference between a revolution that's essentially a rebellion against a colonizing force by those living in the colony, and one that takes place from within an existing nation with that nation's citizens as primary actors. One's more of a reform from the bottom up and the other is a clear "fuck you" to the colonizing country.

In any case, this secret is stupid as fuck and OP should be ashamed for this obvious attempt at trolling

Still doesn't explain the Dutch I mean we kicked out the Spanish because taxes they put on our trade. That is pretty similar? And that revolution created our country.

The Dutch seem to appreciate individual liberties more than a lot of other Western European countries though, don't they? I mean they put a huge value on freedom of speech (even if it offends others), freedom of religion, etc.

It's not just Americans that resent having others, especially the government, telling them what to do (and believe me, there's nothing particularly Republican or Democratic about that -- it's a universal American sentiment)
