I think most of the people who watch ice road truckers are just people who fell asleep in front of the history channel.

So is NASCAR to most people, but there's the occasional smash-up wreck to keep many entertained. The only reason I ever watched IRT was to see a semi fall through the ice or slide down a mountain.

It was okay for the first few seasons, but IMO around the third it got really annoying as they started following entire families, or cutting back to family members instead of just following the truckers

Also by that point most of the main troubles have been covered. It was interesting up until then seeing the different areas they crossed. My fave had to be the one girl trucker who found a puppy and took it with her.

Then I switched to some logging show that was really boring, then followed a trawling show I never ever found the name of. Deep Sea Trawlers? If someone knows that let me know.


I'm really curious about some jobs.

Eh, most of the people I know who are my age (high school) know what shipping is. Tumblr is really popular now and if you ask someone in the right age range what fanfiction or shipping is, there's a pretty good chance they'll say yes. That's completely based on my experience and might be a complete load of crap, but eh. Just because people don't talk about it in real life doesn't mean they don't know about it.
