If "mindfuck" means horror, then, yes, I watch it for the "mindfuck" as well.

I love how in the first season you started with a teen drama with some supernatural elements. Then it went to a teen drama with some horror supernatural elements. Then in the second season you have a supernatural drama with some teen drama elements and now a supernatural horror show with the occasional teen drama elements. I think that was the producer's plan all along.

Trick MTV into buying the series by saying, "It's a teen show with werewolves. It will appeal to the Twilight crowd." And then when he realized he wasn't going to get cancelled, threw everything out the window and went to writing the 80's horror-comedy type of show he always wanted to write.

In short, he's brilliant.

And Victoria Argent has to be the scariest bitch on television EVER (even if in last episode she made me tear up a bit), and I'm not even sure if she was even intended to be such a big horror element in the show.
