Those were such sad moments. ): They were actually part of a longer scene that I'm 99.9% sure was in the theatrical release of the movie but cut from the DVD/video release (probably because it was such a long movie that it was hard to release on concrete media without running out of room) with the whole scene described above where he refuses to get in the boat and she goes with him instead-- I checked and it WAS in the extras on the DVD, but having it cut from the movie made me so sad as a kid, because I was a total fanatic of Titanic and all of its sad victim stories, so to see that gone was like... guh, my heart. D:

It was not part of the movie while in the theaters, sadly.

I'm not sure how I would have known about it if it wasn't. Was it in the video release? I know on the DVD my friend gave me recently, it's cut out and in the extras. My family never owned the DVD and if course, no special features on tapes, so forgive my suspicion. :P

I have a vague memory of it too.
Might've been a director's cut or extended cut version.
