And of course the next animal doesn't have any place here, but...

Let's have a look at today's spider! It's another colourful one, but not a jumping spider.

This is Leucauge venusta, and it's an orb weaver, also known as the orchard spider. Many of them are very colourful- and while I've featured orb weavers before, those have been the more jewel-like ones, with funny shapes. These guys (as well as the Golden Orb Weavers) look more like what people expect of spiders, except also at the same time like Brazillian football fans. It lives mostly around the US, along the East Coast, and is more or less harmless to humans, though not to pests.

LOL! I love how you were able to use pictures with animals even for the non-animal signs, like Libra and Aquarius. (-:

Eeeeee! An echidna! I adore monotremes! (although platypodes/platypi/platypuses are my favorite animal ever, echidnas are nearly as cool) And a great way to sneak in the Libra scales.

I approve of the picture you used for Virgo. But more importantly, ORB WEAVERS! SQUEE! :D

The one for Leo, my zodiac, is so cute! And the orchard spider has some gorgeous colors. *A*

I love the way you chose to depict the signs.
