A long, long time ago, I had an account in a Harry Potter forum (harrylatino, I think it was?), then I discovered one awesome fic in English and never looked back. To be honest, I find the Spanish speaking side of the internet in general to be a bit immature, with lots of emoticons and mangled words that make them sound like 12 year olds, but I can't say I'm very familiar with it nowadays.

I have to agree with you on that. In fandom mayyybe it's not so bad (highly subjective, that one), but you go to any other forum on any other subject and it goes just downhill from there.

In English:
A: I think apples should be red.
B: Well, I disagree. My opinion on the subject is that it should be like this instead, because...

In Spanish:
A: I think apples should be red.
B. No. You're an idiot, go and #$%&$& your mom.

That's why, even if I do lurk in Spanish fandom for fics, I do prefer to discuss fanish things in places like this. :/
