I would be more inclined to watch Teen Wolf if my friends didn't keep telling me how it was so much better than Vampire Diaries and how I'd forget all about TVD if I just gave it a shot. I like my stupid vampires, damnit! I'm not looking for a show to replace it (even if they did kill my favourite character, it's cool, I have others).

The show's probably pretty good, but the fandom have put me right off.

(NGL, when a review in a film magazine last week compared the two and said TVD was the superior show, I felt a moment of HAHA SUCK IT.)

I'm really only watching Teen Wolf because my bf is a fan and I'm always in the room when he watches it. It's... okay. But most of it is just way too much Pretty White People Problems and I cannot make myself give a shit. Lydia is the only interesting character on there and I can't tell if the show wants me to like her or hate her half the time.

I seem to remember TVD being nothing, but pretty white people with problems. Oh and the black girl who has to save their asses with her powers, frequently at some personal expense. To her.

I do agree with the sentiment though. Isn't the main character in TW not white too? There's definitely a lack of main poc of course, but having THE main being hispanic was a bonus for me.

Oh, I'm so glad you said that -- I was gutted when they killed him off. Really wish they hadn't; I could think of one or two other characters that I wouldn't miss at all, but instead they had to get rid of one of my favorites.
