I actually loved that part. Who am I kidding, I loved it all. I have legit re-watched it 4 times already. Okay, mostly the parade of nations because I enjoy making fun of the bad fashion but that part was so cute.

Why did they choose the Arctic Monkeys? I've heard a few of their songs, wasn't really into them, but I was interested to see them live at the Ceremony. They were... okay. Nothing spectacular. I was expecting a lot more considering they got such a spotlight.

Honestly I am also not a fan. They are okay but really?
The sound was really terrible and it was hard to hear them, though.

I just figured that it was easier to headbang to them than it was to Paul.

Actually, I was headbanging when "Firestarter" came on for all 20 seconds or so. My one beef was that they played Bohemian Rhapsody, when Stone Cold Crazy would have been a much better choice for a Queen song.

I was really happy the Arctic Monkeys were there, not just because I'm a fan, but because I was wearing an AM shirt that day without knowing they'd be at the opening ceremony, and I loved the coincidence xD

I missed most of it - only saw the March of Nations starting at...S, I think, so when I heard of the Queen jumping from a helicopter, I thought it was real for about twelve hours.
