Some ground rules:

I hate the fact that every time I listen to “Today’s Hits” on Pandora, 3/4 of the songs have rap portions that are totally unnecessary.

don't get me wrong, there are cool rap songs out there; but very rarely are those the ones that show up

Agreed. I'm actually a sorta fan of Linkin Park, but the rap parts always detract from their songs. I have never heard a song where the rap part actually contributed anything except a few unnecessary slurs and some terrible rhymes.

I hate that! I really like rap - but I like my rap songs and pop songs separate, thanks.

this isn't going to turn into another referendum on why rap sucks and/or some white person saying "i only listen to good rap like" and then listing a bunch of obscure white assholes, is it?
