I really liked this season of Korra. And since we're getting like, four more seasons, so much that was wrong with this season (I liked it, I can also admit that there were some faults) has plenty of time to get fixed or explored to explain why those faults were necessary.

And you know what? Bolin is overrated. I kind of hope he turns out to be a jerk, just so his woobie-fying fans can shut up.

And Tahno is also overrated. He got like, five minutes of screen time. What? How does he have so many fangirls?

Tahno is awesome because he's a douchebag the story acknowledged was a douchebag. Then he clearly became less of a douchebag, but still a smartass and a coward. Acceptable weaknesses

but most importantly, self confidence/smugness is attractive as FUCKYES

I liked the first season, and hope the faults get addressed in later seasons, as well.

I adore Bolin but that's because I see a lot of my husband in him, including in physical appearance, so I can't not see him as awesome. =p

I love Tahno's character because I like sleezebaggy characters because they are SLEEZEBAGS. I love it. I love that he's a cheaterous asshole who got what he deserved. I love how they showed him afterwards, and I do wish he'd get more screen time because I think his character arch could be interesting, if they gave him one. But I don't think he's like...an awesome person. His character is just a lot of fun, for me.

This. I love dickish characters. Not because I don't think they're dicks (they are) and not because I want to "fix them" (I don't). I like them because they're dicks and that makes them FUN.

So you'd rather have his characterization be inconsistent than have fans like him? Bolin is written as a pretty flat character, but from what we've seen of his personality, he seems to be a sweet kid - immature and naive, yes, but he means well.

He's an Ensemble Darkhorse. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/EnsembleDarkhorse) Also, the Avatar/LoK fandom has a tendency of loving/giving attention to characters with limited screen time (e.g., Foaming Mouth Guy, Feathered Hat Man, Howl, etc.).

They're dragging this trainwreck on for HOW much longer? I thought it was only supposed to be one more season!

I gave up on it after the creators basically loled at the idea of any sort of accountability or real development in romance though.

tahno actually didn't used to be as popular before episode 7 aired. he's now a sad broken woobie who needs a hug, so of course he has a ton of fangirls.
