F!S Anon Meme (the Seventh, and now on DW!)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

Thanks for all the recs! I was under the impression that Fire Emblem is more like a strategy game in which you control troops? Have I been completely wrong?

I tried the Heroes of Mana game, but I didn't like it at all. Is FE anything like that?

FE is strategy. I recommend checking some game play videos on YouTube before you make any purchases. Even witnessing grinding will give you a feel of the battle system.

Fire Emblem is a strategy game but it has a great story and roster of characters and its very, very easy to pick up. The basic battle systems work like rocks paper scissors, it's grid-based and it's NOT real-time. You take turns moving and placing units and attacking.

It is strategy, but if you try out Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones first, you won't have too much trouble because it's a pretty easy game. It'll get you accustomed to the way things work and then if you liked it enough you can move on to the other games in the series.
