F!S Anon Meme (the Seventh, and now on DW!)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

Gargoyles

Lexington was/is my favorite Gargoyle. Thus, I got a bit pissed off when the Nostalgia Critic review the show and wrote Lexington off as the "sissy one". Does anyone else feel this way or am I simply doing it wrong?

i ADORE Lex. he was my first cartoon crush. and in what world is he sissy? because he's small? his voice isn't as deep? he kicks JUST as much ass as the rest of them, plus his tech skills... he's invaluable and badass. WTF nostalgia critic! I'm holding out hope that NC didn't call Lex that just because he's gay. That'd piss me off.

Actually, I do think it was the sexuality thing. Was there an episode where Lex was stated to be gay or it a Word of God thing? I watched the show when it was on reruns on Toon Disney at like 9 or 10 PM when I was 12, so I haven't seen every single episode.

I think one of the reasons I initially liked his was because he was small and had a different coloring and wing design, so he really stood out from the others. He was also just really curious and friendly and open, like in the first episode when they're still in the Middle Ages and he answers a human boy's question without a second thought.

Word of God. And they remarked that they probably wouldn't have been able to work it into the show while it was airing, it being from Disney and a mainstream afternoon cartoon.

It's been a while since I watched that review, but I don't remember him writing Lex off. I thought he was categorizing them into standard tropes for comedic effect. Lex is my favorite, too.

What foolishness is that? Lexington was the tech expert! He jumped headfirst into the most complicated part of the modern world and never let it intimidate him, that takes balls. He was "the geeky one", if anything.
