F!S Anon Meme (the Seventh, and now on DW!)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

I like Steven Moffat's writing. I thought RTD was awful.

Same.

I like them both but they both have their failings.

Even the amazing Classic writer Robert Holmes had some dumb friggin' ideas.

I both like and dislike them both. I think they both have serious problems with women. But I hate how the fandom seems to think RTD was perfect and Moffatt is the only problematic one. They both have equal amounts of problematic content, IMHO. And they both also have equal amounts of good stuff.

Oh, this so much.

I'm getting really sick of Moffat but I can't help but be thankful for him creating Amy Pond. I just love her to death, flaws and all.

I like them both.
It confuses me to see so much Moffat hate, I understand some things people say about him but stop it, he's not that bad!

I think Moffat's a better writer but RTD is a much, much better showrunner.

This - and things were better when Moffat was writing under RTD's wing, so to speak.

I like them both, although RTD's obsession with bringing back Rose after her pretty awesome exit made me hate both him and her for a while.

Funnily enough, I feel the same way about Moffat and River Song. I thought she was much more interesting popping in and out of the story instead of being a huge character.

At least River's story has a clear end that was there from the beginning. By writing the Library storyline, Moffat already set up River's end. River can maybe pop in a few more times, but we already know where her story ends.

Rose's story appeared to end in Doomsday, and yet she showed up again in season 4 and wasn't even all that necessary to the storyline by that point.

Moffat's writing is awful. Seriously, how many times can things be hand-waved away as timey-wimey? At least RTD's plots made sense.
