Has anyone read The Vampire's Assistant/Darren Shan Saga/Cirque Du Freak prequel series? What do you think?

I know I read the first one (and then read the rest of the main series - easily ranks among my favorite book series ever), but I graduated before the library got the rest of them and I never had enough time to read them in the store.

OMG I love those books! They're so weird but so fun at the same time. Harkat was totally my favorite character.

I've read them! I love the series, and I'm actually working on the prequel series (The Saga of Larten Crepsley) right now.
