F!S Anon Meme (the Seventh, and now on DW!)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

Obese doesn't equal not pretty.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-29 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
How about obese =/= sexually attractive, except to kinky people?

(Anonymous) 2012-07-29 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
How about stop being fatphobic. Plenty of people find fat people attractive. We have sex and everything. I know, mind blowing.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-29 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
plenty

Name five people that people have actually heard of.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-29 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
You do know that there are more people in the world than just those you've heard of, right?

(Anonymous) 2012-07-29 08:16 pm (UTC)(link)
But the famous ones are the ones we consider mainstream attractive.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-29 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm aware. That's just for fact checking purposes. The way these conversations usually go, someone claims to know hundreds of people who *insert pet cause here*, but when you ask them to name names, it's all "lolol, you've probably never heard of them."

So I say again: if you claim that "plenty" of people fit some niche, you name them out of the small sample of people who are actually well known. Otherwise, shut the hell up.

NA

I can name five, but they are my real life friends. The fact that Hollywood is disgusting about anyone over a size 4 doesn't prove that having a fat partner is a kink. Some people are fat, and they are just as likely to have happy relationships that do not fetishize their weight as skinny people. The ~standards of beauty regularly cause women to bleach their skin, starve themselves, and undergo surgery to make themselves "lovable" by some bullshit standard.

Let's just say that I sympathize with what Olympic weightlifter Sarah Robles is going through.

NA

agreed.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-29 08:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Sarah Robles is not unhealthy though. Most of the whiners around here couldn't lift the damn bar, let alone strap weights on it.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-29 05:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Depends on who you are and the type of person you find attractive. Oh, but that's right, admitting that you don't find fat attractive makes you a horrible, horrible person.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-29 06:05 pm (UTC)(link)
You personally not finding fat attractive doesn't make you a horrible person.

If you automatically assume that most people find fat ugly and only kinky people would find fat attractive because fat people are obviously weird and liking them is weird, then yeah, you're kind of a dick.

Personal preference is fine. If you get shit for that, I'm sorry. But if you act like your personal preference has to be everyone else's, or you feel the need to make your opinion known by talking about how fucking ugly fatties are when you could just say nothing, then, again, you're kind of a dick.
