[ Anon Meme ]
Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.
Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.
That's about it, though!
I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

How old are you?
What series have you always meant to watch/read/play/etc. but have never?

(Anonymous) 2012-07-29 06:04 pm (UTC)(link)I hate the reblogging, I hate the lack of sources on anything, I hate the shitty slang (I agreed with the secret from the other night about "feels") and I hate that all of my friends list seems to have migrated. I refuse to follow them.
I'm also bitter that my ex left me and stopped talking to me in favour of talking to an emo genderqueer wolfaboo she met on Tumblr, but that's by the by.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-29 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)I really don't like how tumblr encourages the culture of not crediting sources and posting things that aren't yours.
It rewards people posting good art that isn't theirs with followers and gushing comments and people were already so ignorant or not caring about copyright laws to begin with, and then we get this hype machine to exploit that?! ARGH.
I don't wish ill on the owners of tumblr and others and I hate that this would hurt them financially and their reputation, and I feel like a bad person for this, but sometimes I genuinely wish that tumblr would just die, along with all this social web media 2.0 crap. It's "brought people together", in a way, but it's encouraged and even created such an entitled culture that it makes me want to go and smash something. D:
Not to mention the addictive reward-system that has made people neglect real life relationships in favor of internet ones.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-30 12:19 am (UTC)(link)oh my god this pretty much happened to me too. my best friend online whom I spoke with near everyday for almost ten years stopped responding to me one day. I told this to another mutual friend we both had after about a month since I was worried and she was all "oh yeah, she's been updating her tumblr a lot though" and sure enough, there my friend was on tumblr talking with a bunch of other people. I joined and tried to get back into talking with her but it's just not the same anymore.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-30 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)I carried on reading her tumblr for a while because I enjoyed the schadenfraude of her posting about how miserable she was, but I realised that it wasn't healthy after a week or two and haven't looked back.
