No. The characters were terrible and if you liked any of them you are also terrible. Except Varric. He's okay. But then Varric's fangirls are all terrible so my point still stands.

And here I thought we could have a civil discussion about the flaws of DA2 :(

The biggest problem with the game was that EA wanted to make quick and easy money so they forced Bioware to rush it. The plot reeked of missed opportunities and due to the limited interaction you had with your teammates, all of them felt like were parodies of themselves. I won't say that the romances in Origins were that spectacular or anything, but aside from the friendmance!Isabela, all romances were creepy/illogical in DA2 on some level. The only thing they did good with the companions is that they made all of them bi, but aside from that, ugh.

I played a sarcastic male Hawke (I couldn't play a female because her voice and the way she ran irritated me so much that I couldn't bear her for more than half an hour), and never did I hate a character as much as I hated him. I don't know whether this was because of the dialogue well/voice acting or just because he was badly written, but I was pretty sad that I didn't have the opportunity to kill him.

But at least the DA2 fandom gave me great fanworks, so I played a bad game, but gained some very good fanfic/fanart, so it evened out.

And I hate that I can't say that I enjoyed DA2 in public without someone jumping me and telling me I have terrible taste beyond repair. It definitely had flaws, sure, but I had a decent amount of fun.

Saaaaame. Even though the ending sort of evolved into a inescapable pit of despair ("I hate all these people! I don't want to help any of them!"), I thoroughly enjoyed the first two acts.

Uh, sure. How 'bout you calm down anon? It's just as okay to like things as it is to not like them.

DA2 had many, many flaws (it's characters as well) and I don't think you'll find many people who are willing to say otherwise, but that doesn't mean that it's impossible that some people can get some degree of enjoyment out of it. I do think DA is far superior to DA2 in many ways, but I still enjoyed DA2 despite it's issues.

And Varric is fantastic.
