Word! I've managed to get my friends into it by telling them that all they have to sit through is the first three episodes in S1. None of us are into the fic-part of the fandom, but we chat-watch the episodes since we all live in different parts of the world. TVD FTW!

(Oh, and we all have different ships. LOL!)
