I'm bisexual, which obviously isn't a secret. But, weirdly my attraction to a particular gender changes depending on where I am in my cycle. The only time I'm really attracted to men is when I'm ovulating (clever, nature). The rest of the time, I'm all about ladies.

But, more to the point, my tv-watching and fandom participation follows this same damn pattern. I didn't think that I let my hormones rule my life all that much, but wouldn't you know I become more active in fandom when I'm attracted to men.

Not groundbreaking or scandalous or anything, just a little observation about how weird sexuality can be.

I have this exact problem in relation to shipping! I only give a damn about het when I'm ovulating, otherwise it's femslash all the way. :3

Oh my god, me too! I'm primarily attracted to women, but sometimes it feels like I'm just going back and forth on the Kinsey scale. I've never thought to tie it in with my ovulation cycle, but you may be onto something here, haha.

How attracted I am to men or women varies as well, but I don't think it has anything to do with my cycle, because a "phase" (don't know what else to call it) can last for months.

I read on cracked.com that this was actually fairly normal, but I can't say I trust much the accuracy of their articles (because of what they choose as sources).

But it's nice seeing that they might not have been far off-mark.
