One of my favorite pairings has no fics at all, and if they are in something it's only in the back of the background. I really want to write a few fics for them, but I know my writing is painfully mediocre and it bothers me. /sigh

write it anyway, anon! there might be other people who feel the same as you, and they'll be happy to have some fics for the pairing. or you might unexpectedly convince someone to write for it!
