TBH, in 1D fandom that's really just the Harry/Louis fans, among the shippers. The rest of the gf bashers don't like that there is a girl in the way of their chance with one of the boys. They still all embarrass me, though. Their gfs are all really sweet and gorgeous, and I feel really awful for them. At least their bfs are really supportive of them and will defend them.

Not in any of those fandoms. Most of my ships are canon anyway because they're from webcomics, stuff from Less Than Three press and Dreamspinner, and BL anime, with a game or two in there.

I'm still a slash fan. And I'm gonna repeat what you've been told time and again before: not all slash fans are like that. But of course it's just that much easier making blanket statements.

I know that most slash shippers aren't like that, just like most het shippers aren't. But obviously I can't help but notice the shippers who are like that and it just almost always seems to be slashers.

Do you just hang around here, tumblr, and LJ? Have you been to some foul parts of Deviantart where they say alternate interpretations of a character's sexual orientation is degrading and offensive? What about gaming forums where they are just totally dismissive and there's just a hell of a lot of gamer-dude bros who are so fucking homophobic as well as misogynistic, racist, and self-serving as all fuck?

Honestly, I would say it would be just a hell of lot easier being accused as a homophobe rather than a sicko fag/dyke/retard who's into "disgusting shit".
