F!S Anon Meme (the Seventh, and now on DW!)


Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

Humanization

In my fandom there really aren't many humans about, so in a lot of cases people write humanizations. I really want to get into them, but for some reason they really don't click with me at all.

Same. They always seem like they're written more from a place of laziness than creativity, at least in my fandoms. ("GUYS I MADE THE CARS HUMAN BECAUSE I DON'T REALLY UNDERSTAND CARS LOL.")

Usually it's paired with the characters being uber OOC too. Might as well make it original fic.

My fandom is half aliens (LOL GUESS WHICH FANDOM), and humanizing art and fic doesn't do it for me at all. The aliens are fascinating BECAUSE they're strange and not!human to begin with!

I lol when a human character is turned into one of the alien races though. Those are more fascinating.
