Dear random Tumblrite,

When I was young like you, we didn't have social media to interact with the very people we fangirl and squee over. I don't begrudge you for opening that channel of communication with the comedian you and I both love and adore.

But for fuck's sake, can you NOT ask him whether he reads fanfiction about himself?

Ugh, I haaaaate this. I've seen people link actors to fic/fanart/whatever that they're in on Twitter, and get so much second-hand embarrassment. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyy would anyone feel like that's okay to do?!

people should really leave it up to celebrities if they want to involve themselves in fandom or even acknowledge its existence. i'm sure that when some fans write about actors shagging their dogs, most people would like to just live in blissful ignorance.
