Some ground rules:

Sonic the Hedgehog, specifically SatAM and the Archie comics, but I liked the games too. At three or so I was obsessed with a game gear display at a store with Sonic on it (never owned a SEGA console so that was the best I could do). Sometime around age five or so I discovered the syndicated cartoon and watched it whenever I could. Discovered SatAM and the comics soon after, watched SatAM when I could (although the time changes confused me) and would go to Waldenbooks to sit and read the comic until I finally scraped together enough allowance to buy a subscription to the comics. Got AOL around the same time and discovered forums on AOL for Sonic the Hedgehog around age 8, and then there was no turning back. I was a fandom geek forever and ever.
