At least with fanfic it's a liiittle easier to prove it's yours (and easier to find people stealing it, compared to pics) and kind of less worth it to steal it in the first place

I second your sentiment, though. :( Tumblr has done good (especially in the help me find this person or finding out about the rest of the world or finding really old art or obscure that you normally stumble upon), but compared to all the ill its done (harassing, enabling of creepiness or even mental problems, horribly long-reaching spread of misinformation, encouraging snowflake syndrome and attention seeking people, time sink, enabling of the people who don't give a shit about copyright laws or propriety, and so, so many more) I don't think it's worth it. :(
