Who uses sneakers anymore? I thought that died in the 90s everywhere.

Not on the US central-east coast, it hasn't. What are other Americans calling them now? Tennis shoes?

That or running shoes depending on how light they are.

Yeah I usually hear tennis shoes, though I have heard trainers quite a bit in Los Angeles.
