This makes me sad.

I live life trying to think the best in people, thinking we've come to the point where shit I see on television and in films are really fucking fake and out of touch with reality, but then I witness stereotypes and cliches IRL. And then I lose faith in humanity. People are just shallow and I am naive to believe otherwise.

Both can be true, though. TV can be shitty and fake and real people can still have private opinions (which are probably much less of a big deal than they seem like in this thread. Everyone's a little bit judgey. IRL a lot of people judge me because of my ethnicity but most of them can also be warm to me as a person too.
