Some ground rules:

Shirou's not as intolerable to me as the other two, but a huge part of that comes from the various RPs my gf and I have done where we basically ignore the sexist parts of him. And then I replay the canon (especially the Fate route) and I go "god fucking dammit Shirou why do you have to say douchey shit like that."

Yeah, sadly it's gotten to the point where anytime I encounter someone who goes "Heaven's Feel was the best route/I wish they'd animate it" in the opening of a discussion I immediately go noping in the other direction because eight times out of ten they're skeevy Sakura fanboys. There were certainly things I liked about Heaven's Feel, but I could go on for a long time about my problems with it, and the fans are nearly at the top of the list.

I really hate Shirou myself, but then a lot of good RPers do make him more tolerable. It only works in RP contexts for me, though. I still hate him outside of a couple people's interpretations of him.

It's mostly the people who call Sakura a slut for being raped that I want to punch. That's worse than the fanboys.

It's grossly prevalent and it infuriates me. It's actually what I thought you meant re; issues with the fandom and Sakura at first. Hell, a friend of mine who's a huge Type Moon fan did an entire blog post on why anyone who says shit like that about Sakura is fucking disgusting. I wish more male Type Moon fans were like him.
