[ Anon Meme ]

F!S Anon Meme (the Seventh, and now on DW!)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

Unpopular Ships
Obligatory Masturbation Thread
Fandoms you wish existed
How old are you?
What series have you always meant to watch/read/play/etc. but have never?
Time and location
Female-centric works
How do you feel about Tumblr?
Pet thread
Guilty pleasure thread
Favorite old shows
First fandom?

Anyone a member? Is it a good community? I'm thinking of signing up to maybe make some friends and whatnot.

I heard it's full of creeps

It's a good place to talk about kinks and to find events, but you WILL be creeped on by people, especially if you list fetishes, and I don't recommend generally meeting people that way in person. Generally.

Mostly it's a good way to keep in touch with kinky people you meet at events, and to find more events in your area.

I was thinking more online friendships for exploring and talking about kinks. Not so much the real life meet-ups.

GOOD CALL. Yeah, I haven't made too many friends who weren't ostensibly in my area, so I can't speak to how it works with long-distance, but I'd like to.

You're making me think that kinky anons (possibly fandom kinky anons?) need a space to talk about their kinks. That could be interesting.

I would be all over some kind of kinky anon meme. I just...would really like to talk to people about kinks and not be creeped on. And it would be awesome to actually discuss kink with other asexual folk. Anon or not.

Yeah, talking about kinks without having people heavy-breathing on you would be living the dream. (Especially as a sub. D:)

The best place I've seen yet for actually discussing kink is the Feminist Kinksters comm on Fet; there's some really good discussions on there. But that's assuming you're female and feminist.

I'm the anon from this thread: http://fandomsecrets.dreamwidth.org/647738.html?thread=567384122#cmt567384122

and it could be interesting to bring together the kinky fandomers who are interested in discussing kink and the issues around it, both to be a community, and to answer questions from the vanilla folk...

As it happens I am both female and feminist.

I would love a place to discuss this all. I've done some reading on the topic and sort of my own self mental exploration but I'm pretty much a noob. I admit I did get introduced to the ideas through fandom - narrowing down my kinks kind of happened through narrowing down why certain kink fics worked and why others didn't.

Hmmmmm. This merits discussion with fellow kinky anons. (Don't mind me, I'm a moderator by nature.)

Because why not, I started a thread to this effect: http://fandomsecrets.dreamwidth.org/647738.html?thread=567512122#cmt567512122

You are pretty cool, kinkyasexy!anon. JSYK.

It is completely creepy. I joined for a while, but left pretty quickly. If you are female, creepy guys will message you. No matter what you register as. I registered as dominant and still had creepy guys who were also dominant messaging me.

I did get some good information there. So maybe join but only lurk.

Hmm, I've just heard a lot of people rec the site when kink comes up. I tried looking around Aven to talk about kink but most asexuals there are all "kink is sex and sex is grossssss!". :\

I'm generally a lurker, so maybe I'll just go and do that.

It could be that I just had a particularly bad experience. The "dom" who messaged me that what I really needed was a man strong enough to dominate me and that I'd really enjoy submitting to him was the final straw.

I wanted to join and lurk but I couldn't do it after I read about 24/7 slaves with slave numbers and tattooed barcodes. And feminism wank in fetlife boards.

Don't know this from personal experience, but kinkyfolk I occasionally hang out with say it's good for finding munches/meetings in your area and not much else. There was wank about them silencing/censoring/freezing threads about doms who didn't respect safewords, and that was enough for me to not want to investigate any farther, especially since I already have a play-partner.
