Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

Is a kinkmeme the right or wrong place to start out writing stuff for a certain fandom? I like it because it's anon... but it's also a huge fandom and I wonder if it's also the easiest place to get eaten alive.

I've heard of a lot of people starting out on kinkmemes. Lots of prompts and the freedom of anon helps a lot.

I've been in about 5 different fandoms and (when possible) I always start in kink memes or other prompt memes. Lurking a little will give you a feel of the fandom, what the wank buttons are, popular pairings and idea, etc. Also, new-new authors or authors who prefer to remain anon can fill prompts and be guaranteed an audience. It's a very nice deal.

In my experience Bioware fandoms are pretty friendly and accommodating. Have fun!

It seems to depend on who you talk to - but so far ME fandom has been pretty decent to me.

Depends on the meme mods. If they're decent, then they'll whack anybody who tries to eat you for fan-brat reasons.

My advice would be to try and figure out how good the mods are (if there's a page-a-mod thread, go see what happens there, or if there are discussion threads, see if there's wank and if so if/where/how the mod stepped in).

Or just post anyway. Even if you do get eaten alive, you're still anon - you can walk away and never look back, if you want.

All good points. The mod for this kmeme is really good about that and pretty active. It's just been so long since I shared fanfiction because I so rarely get the inclination to write any, haha.
