I wish I could say I was shocked that the whole Smashed/Wrecked kerfluffle ended up on wank_report*, and that someone suggested that he lies about his past to get sympathy/more readers.

But honestly?

Let him hang. All this did was give me another reason to not sign on for his bullshit.

He was fun back when he was still in the midst of reviewing the Twilight series (a little too preachy sometimes, but whatever. Sometimes those books required preachiness), but now...damn. The fuck?

JfC, that site sounds like a cesspool of sycophantic assholes. I've heard the thing about Mark's word and interpretation being the only thing allowed to be 'discussed,' but when his interpretation (especially of the scene in 'Smashed') is so obviously wrong in many cases, I can't imagine how he found enough trogs agree that his word the only word. Sure, your opinion is your opinion, but an opinion can be wrong and should be allowed to be countered.
