F!S Anon Meme (the Seventh, and now on DW!)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.

Re: How many tries/episodes will you give a show before giving up?

depends. I used to give 'em three. then Heroes happened, in which the first three episodes were pretty shit until the final scene of the third, which was AMAZING, and then I was like ".....fuck" because I absolutely had to keep watching. Luckily, it kept on getting better from there until the first season ended. Alas.

The 3-episode rule made me start and stop Supernatural, and then a few years later I forgot I had before and started it again. I was again unimpressed by the first three, but I had downloaded six and I was lying around sick that day so I went "well, whatever" and kept on watching....and the sixth one totally hooked me. And though that show may have gone down lately, I spent like 2 years happily obsessed with it and I could never ever regret that move

I don't think I've become a "pilot or gtfo" person, but well. This year I got into The IT Crowd, The Unusuals, Downton Abbey, Breaking Bad and Fringe, and every single one of those were working for me within the first episode.
