[ Anon Meme ]
Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.
Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.
That's about it, though!
I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff.
Unpopular Ships
Obligatory Masturbation Thread
Fandoms you wish existed
How old are you?
What series have you always meant to watch/read/play/etc. but have never?
Time and location
Female-centric works
How do you feel about Tumblr?
Pet thread
Guilty pleasure thread
Favorite old shows
First fandom?

If you mean the think that shows a field with an email, it's because they marked their post as a question (there is a check mark when you submit... texts, I think? And no, you can't edit a post to be a question if it wasn't already one D:).
That is all that comes to mind, sorry. tumblr frustrates me to no end because of reasons like this one.

(Anonymous) 2012-07-30 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)Anyway, what happens is that I see someone else commenting directly (not via reblogging) on a tumblr I want to comment directly on, but I can't figure out how to do it. It's not to do with Disqus because this tumblr doesn't have Disqus enabled.
When they comment directly, the note text starts "[username] said: ..."
(After further research) I think there's a beta feature that allows this but only from your dashboard and only on original posts and only if the tumblr has replies turned on. So I guess the people commenting directly sit there with tumblr open all day so they can jump on posts when they hit their dashboard. I don't get to these posts in time to reply via my dashboard without scrolling for hours and hours. UGH!!!!

I'm beginning to fear all people actually do that. D: I have a irl friend (the one who convinced me to get a tumblr, actually) who does that.

Same here! Like I said in the comments above, there were many, many things that irk(ed) me about tumblr, but this was the deal-breaker for me and the last push towards deleting my account.
I didn't log in for three days, just three days, and it took me 5 hours to catch up because there is no way to filter things directly in your dashboard to see what is interesting or just crap; it's actually easier to check the tumblrs directly, but some have/had infinite scroll and it slowed down or even froze my computer orz.
It got so bad that I simply stopped logging in at all, or logging in, "liking and reblogging" some shit to not make my friends feel like I was ignoring them or something and then logging out, and then I got tired of it all and deleted my account.
(I only followed... eight, maybe nine people, I think. How do people with hundreds manage?!)
